Football player position
If we talk about playing football, I think most of us want to be a striker or attacking player, because we think that the striker is the best position in the game and the others are just to support the striker. We also believe that the striker is a hero for the team because he scores goals and wins the game in the end. Sometimes people say they only win because of the forwards or forwards. But in fact, their assumption is wrong, because the main thing that is important in a football game is teamwork. Every player in the game must be disciplined and do their duty based on their position. Without it, the play will be bad and the team will not win the game.
In the game of soccer, we mainly know about 4 player positions; Goalkeeper (GK), Defender (DF), Midfielder (MF) and Forward or Forward (FW). In each position, they have their main duty in the game. So, what are actually the characteristics of each of them? Well, let’s check that out.
The first position is the goalkeeper. The goalkeeper is the position of his main task to protect the goalpost from the opponent’s attack. This position is actually placed at the back of the others position. Therefore, he stands under the goalpost and blocks the ball that hits the goal. What is unique about this situation is that the goalkeeper is allowed to touch the ball with his hand.
The second position is Defender or we usually call him Back. Someone in this position has the main task of protecting his area from an opponent’s attack. Lay the back in front of the goalkeeper. In a match, the defender is usually divided into two parts; Center back (CB) and side back (SB). The center back is a player who stands in the middle of the defense area and in front of the goalkeeper. This type of position carries the most responsibility in the team after the goalkeeper. Then the side-back is a player who plays on the side of the defense area. Sometimes, this kind of attitude comes in handy when attacking.
The next position is the midfielder. I think this is the most flexible position in the game. Because a person in this position can do everything, both attack and defense. Midfielders play in the middle of the field. Also, the midfielder is a very important position in the team. Because they can get the defender connected to the front players. This means that the midfielders are Game makers in the game. In fact, in the real game, the quarterback is divided into 4 positions; Central midfielder (CMF), defensive midfielder (DMF), attacking midfielder (AMF) and side midfielder. CMF tends to make the sweet play by giving the pass to their teammates. While the DMF tends to help the defender more on defense. This means that this type of player is more defensive. Then Anhydrous Milk Fat is the opposite of DMF. This means that this player is more offensive. And the last one is SMF, this player can both defend and attack on the side of the field. This type of player is usually called a winger.
And the fourth position in the game of football is a striker or attacking player. This player has the main task to score by pushing the ball into the goal post. In this position, the player must have a good instinct and can do good positioning. And the attacker must be able to maximize the chances of scoring, because in the real game, the attacker is always kept by the opponent’s player.
Knowing the characteristics of football players, we can conclude that each position has its own duty and role in playing football. This means that the attacker cannot achieve victory without the support of his teammate. Also, the team cannot win the match without the participation of the attackers. Therefore, we can say that all kinds of positions in the game are important and each of them cannot stand alone, which means that the most important thing is teamwork. Without that, I think it is difficult to achieve victory.
